Born in Western Canada, Mike’s family moved to Ottawa when he was only 2. Mike got into sports
from a very young age, playing competitive soccer and rugby in High School. Nursing his way
through many ankle and shoulder injuries he grew passionate for healing and cooking, while in
recovery. Cooking with his mom and grandfather whenever he could at a young age, his passion for
food started his first career. Working as a Chef and Baker for 15 years, Mike started his own baked
goods company in early 2019. After business closure from Covid regulations, Mike and his spouse
moved to Calgary in 2021 where Mike re-educated at MaKami College and graduated the Advanced
Clinical Massage Therapy program.

loves playing field sports, for fun, and spending time in or on the water. Mike’s other hobbies
include sketching/drawing, playing board games (current favorite is Risk: Lord of the Rings ed.),
competing in Trivia at local bars with his team ‘The Bellecurves’ and baking/cooking or discussing

Mobilization techniques, Therapeutic Stretching and Deep Tissue Massage. Very excited to join the
team at Shephard Health, working together with Dr. Jay to restore pain free range of motion, Mike’s
focus is going to be relaxing muscle tension and easing joint pain by working on the muscle around
it.
Other available massage techniques\modalities available from Mike include Myofascial
Release/Stretching/Cupping, Trigger Point Release, Swedish-Relaxation and Sport Massage (fast-
for muscle activation).
