The Electro-Acuscope/Myopulse is a computer-based “Feedback Controlled” frequency-specific microcurrent system for pain control, sleep disorders, rehabilitation, accelerated healing, and wellness.
What Is Electro Acuscope & Myopulse System?
The Electro-Acuscope/Myopulse system is the most technologically advanced electrotherapeutic equipment available in healthcare today and Shephard Health is currently the only clinic in Alberta to utilize its amazing healing modality.
The Electro-Acuscope/Myopulse is a computer-based “Feedback Controlled” frequency-specific microcurrent system for pain control, sleep disorders, rehabilitation, accelerated healing, and wellness.
How does it work?
Pain, inflammation, infection, and disease all exist in an acidic cellular environment (low PH.) The Electro-Acuscope/Myopulse instruments stimulate “tissue repair” at the cellular level. It utilizes a very low-voltage micro-amperage current (millionths of an ampere), which “whispers” to the affected cells putting the tissue into a more Alkaline environment (high PH.) As the body’s PH rises (becomes more Alkaline) there is an increase in cell membrane transport, ATP production, amino acid incorporation, and protein synthesis which is required for tissue regeneration.

Electro-Acuscope and Electro-Myopulse
Is it safe?
The Electro-Acuscope and Electro-Myopulse were developed over 25 years ago and were the first microcurrent devices approved by the FDA. Due to the gentle current output of the Electro-Acuscope/Myopulse, it is meant to balance the body, there are no known side effects or contraindications.
What are the expected results?
Depending on the patient's overall health and wellness, research has shown that patients find an increased range of motion, decreased healing time, and progressive wound healing in as little as one or two treatments. Subsequent treatments are cumulative in their effects and only increase the body’s healing potential.
How effective is the Electro-Acuscope/Myopulse?
Patients who have not responded to traditional forms of electrotherapy (milli-amperage, TENS, and other micro-current) have had significant results with the Electro-Acuscope/Myopulse because of the gentle balancing effects these instruments provide.
Benefits of Electro-Acuscope/Myopulse:
- Does not require anesthesia
- Patients can be treated on both sides of the body at the same time if the condition requires
- Fast, safe & effective
- Decrease pain and increase function
- Noninvasive; no risk for infection at the treatment site or scarring
- Future treatment options are not limited
- Cost-effective
How is the treatment performed?
A conductive electrolyte gel is applied to the skin to increase conduction from the brass pads and/or probes. The choice of pads or probes is decided upon the severity of the injury. A slight prickling sensation may be felt during the treatment but will not be painful. Should probes be chosen, they will be used to trace the soft tissue while using the current to heal the affected cells. The treatment is timed from 10-20 minutes depending on the severity of the patient's conditi
